Matt Martini
I've spent 12+ years taking on more of the platform each time — from optimizing product pages for one brand at Bose, to building the data infrastructure nine retail clients depended on at Blueport, to owning the full web, mobile, and booking ecosystem behind a $210M direct-revenue business at Sonesta. The through-line: turning technical complexity — CMS, CDP, analytics stacks, taxonomy systems — into something a customer never has to think about.
AI is changing what "translating technical complexity" means for a PM, so I went and did it myself. Captain Cook — a production meal-planning app with multi-agent orchestration, RAG, and its own evaluation harness — wasn't a bootcamp exercise. It's the same instinct that's driven my career: don't just manage the roadmap for a system, understand it well enough to make the calls on cost, latency, and reliability yourself.
I'm looking for a senior product role — platform or ecosystem ownership, ideally where AI is becoming core to the product, not bolted on. I want the room to go deep technically when it matters, and a team that treats measurement and governance as part of building the thing, not cleanup after.
One more thing: I really do live by a lake — hence the name. My unofficial co-pilot is Romeo, a chihuahua who has never once let a call go by without an opinion.
